First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto has expressed her belief that Kenyan farmers will soon no longer require fertilizers on their farms. Speaking at a thanksgiving service held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Monday, Mama Rachel emphasized that the ongoing rains would be plentiful and provide farmers with ample time to cultivate their crops.
She highlighted a striking comparison with Uganda, where farmers abstain from using fertilizers due to a past prayer revival in the country. Mama Rachel confidently stated that Kenya would undergo a similar spiritual awakening, ceasing Kenyan farmers reliance on fertilizers.
Mama Rachel recalled how green Uganda seemd during her visit, as compared to the dry land in Kenya. “We flew there and when I landed, it was very green and yet Kenya was so dry,” she recounted.
This prompted her to pray, asking why Kenya couldn’t mirror Uganda’s agricultural prosperity. Mama Rachel believes her prayers had been answered, as evidenced by Kenya receiving abundant rainfall.
She attributed Uganda’s agricultural success and rainfall abundance to the East Africa Revival that swept through the region.
“I got an answer the other day,” Mama Rachel proclaimed, “the reason Uganda is very fertile and it has been raining is because of the East Africa Revival that swept Uganda and some parts of East Africa.”
According to her, the revival prayers enabled farmers to cultivate crops without resorting to fertilizers.
Mama Rachel further declared, “Now the Revival has come to Kenya. In days to come, these rains will not come to an end, we shall not be using fertilizer, we shall be growing our crops and they will be growing, and we shall have plenty.”
.Notably, Kenya is experiencing the heavy rainfall season from mid-March to May. The short rainfall season occurs in November and December.
