YouTuber Chantelle Petit has addressed the recent altercation with Ephy Saint, her daughter Summer Ella’s father. A viral video showed an emotional Chantelle Petit inside Ephy Saint’s car, igniting matchsticks, seemingly intending to burn the vehicle during a dispute at their daughter’s school drop-off. Chantelle Petit has since explained that her actions were triggered by a situation that pushed her over the edge. Apologetically, Chantelle Petit clarified that her intention was not to set the car on fire.
“I apologize to my daughter, myself, and my followers for my irrational reaction in the video, which resulted from a triggering situation that happened on the way to drop my daughter off at school. Firstly, my intention was not to burn the car. Sometimes when you are pushed over the edge, you do stupid things; that is my stupid thing,”
Chantelle Petit said in the since-deleted video.
Chantelle Petit and Ephy Saint split in 2018 while Chantelle was pregnant with their daughter, Summer Ella, now five. The YouTuber attributed the breakup to Ephy Saint’s manipulation, which caused mental anguish. Chantelle Petit, the sole provider for their daughter, only recently sought Ephy Saint’s help with dropping off and picking up Summer Ella from school.
“I asked Ephy Saint to help pick up and drop the child at school due to transport deficit, with me being present until she is comfortable being alone with him.”
The mother-of-one stated.
The mother of one revealed that drop-off and pick-up for week one went well, stating, “Last week Ephy Saint and I successfully and uneventfully dropped and picked our daughter up.”

However, the situation escalated during a school drop-off for Summer, resulting in a fight between Chantelle Petit and Ephy Saint. Petit detailed a disturbing exchange where Saint allegedly used disrespectful language, commented on her insecurities, and unleashed a torrent of insults.
For instance, Ephy Saint weaponized Chantelle Petit’s insecurity of ear wax stemming from a university days infection, accusing her of being dirty.
“He looked at me and noticed ear wax. I produce a lot of ear wax due to a university infection, and which Ephy Saint knows is an insecurity of mine. He commented, ‘Yuck, you have ear wax, you are so dirty.’ I told him, but you know this about me and I do not like the way you are disrespectful to me in front of our daughter.”
Chantelle Petit expressed.
Another dispute arose when Ephy Saint discussed the prospect of giving up custody if Chantelle Petit were to marry. In response, Chantelle mentioned a similar conversation with her ex-partner who was willing to fully assume the role of their daughter’s parent and legal guardian. This conversation fueled their argument, with Chantelle recalling, “Ephy Saint started shouting at me, accusing me of keeping our daughter away from him. I asked him to lower his tone, and he refused. He also said that just because I have a boyfriend, I could not do whatever I wanted. He went on to insult me, calling me a dog, an idiot, and a bitch.”
The situation spiraled further when Saint directed his screaming towards their daughter Summer Ella, claiming Petit was an “evil woman,” intent on keeping their daughter away from him. An angry Chantelle Petit says, “I was enraged, and told our daughter to cover her ears. I got triggered, and started yelling and insults are flying both ways until people outside start looking into the car.”
Allegedly, Ephy Saint also claimed that Chantelle Petit alienated him from their daughter by selecting an expensive school, cutting him off when he refused to contribute to school fees. Chantelle clarified that she chose the school because she could afford it, without considering his financial constraints.
At this point, they had arrived at their daughter’s school. Chantelle says, “We pulled up to the school. I asked him to lower his tone to avoid causing a scene, and I went silent. He asked me to alight his car and take the child to school.”
An angry Ephy Saint informed Chantelle Petit that “he would not be doing the pick-ups and drop-offs anymore and walked to the teachers to inform them.”
Chantelle Petit Sees Red
In a moment of intense anger, Chantelle Petit metaphorically poured fuel on the fire by igniting matchsticks, a scene captured in a video by Ephy Saint. Later, she explained that this impulsive act was a desperate attempt to distract herself from overwhelming anger.
“I was enraged, I poured his things that were at the backseat. In my moment of anger, I took the matchbox to distract myself from anger. I lit the first match, switched it off, and lit the second. And Ephy Saint had gone around the car recording me,”
Chantelle Petit said.
Ephy Saint proceeded to post the video of the altercation on social media, prompting Petit to block him to avoid further online confrontations. Chantelle said, “Ephy Saint posted that video on social media, which is what I first saw. I recorded the video and then I blocked him on social media to avoid another digital fight.”
An emotional Chantelle Petit told her side of the story, hoping to clear the air as she is upset that “In the video, Ephy Saint stated I cry to manipulate people yet it is my only outlet.” She also hopes to put an end to the drama, rather than “defame, which is completely opposite to what is Ephy Saint’s agenda.”
