In the wake of a viral altercation between Chantelle Petit and Ephy Saint during their daughter Summer Ella’s school drop off, Chantelle Petit has spilled the tea on Ephy Saint’s lingering romantic hopes which are hindering peaceful co-parenting. Chantelle Petit insisted they focus solely on their daughter’s well-being as parents “with no feelings attached.” But Ephy Saint, whose real name is Ephraim Muriithi resisted. Chantelle explained “Ephy Saint is of the idea that am still his girlfriend and that he will marry me one day. He said this in front of Summer, and I asked him to stop as he is giving our daughter false hopes.”

Since their breakup in 2018, Chantelle Petit, who was pregnant at the time, gave birth to their daughter Ella Summer in a near-death experience. The YouTuber asserts there’s no love left after the alleged manipulation and anguish Ephy Saint put her through during their relationship, saying “There is no way to love him after going through what I did. I feel zero feelings towards that man. She expressed, “I last envisioned life with my daughter’s father a very long time ago and have since moved on.”

Chantelle Petit reiterated, “I am not, nor will I ever be, interested in the father of my child emotionally, romantically, or as a lifelong partner.” However, she wishes Ephy Saint, who shares children with other women, “the best in his future relationships”

Chantelle Petit even went as far as saying she regrets her relationship with Ephy Saint. She described it as “a horrible and worst experience of my life. If I could change anything about my life it could be that relationship.”

Co-parenting has been challenging for Chantelle Petit and Ephy Saint. The YouTuber said, “My daughter’s dad and I have periods of highs, lows involving really bad fights and no contact.” Initially, the fights used to be emotional but this stopped when she got over him.

The YouTuber is the sole provider for her daughter Summer Ella, saying “Am the sole provider for my daughter- school fees, food, medical bills and all basic needs. Summer joined school officially in 2023.”

Solo-parenting has been tough on the 30-year old who admitted having “a hard time for the past two years in raising my daughter- mentally, physically, emotionally, financially, and even spiritually.

Chantelle Petit, who works as a creative, explained that she undergoes challenging financial times, especially after working for people who delay payment, making it hard to pay school fees on time.

“Unfortunately, for me as a creative, there are moments I work and people who pay late leaving you without money making it difficult to navigate adulting and parenting problems eg school fees. Luckily, my daughter’s school allows installment payments for school fees.

Apparently, Ephy Saint is unsupportive in co-parenting with Chantelle Petit. The latter recounted reaching out for support when their daughter fell sick, only to face silence and no response. “Last year, Summer fell sick with pneumonia that affected her lungs. Faced with a financial low point, I reached out to her dad as we needed to take her to the hospital. However, he did not answer my first four calls, left my text unread, and when I called again, he did not pick up but sent a text saying he would call later. This marked the beginning of another period of no contact.

Chantelle Petit also recalls asking Ephy Saint “to contribute Sh30,000 to their daughter’s school fees when she first joined school, but he did not contribute.

Additionally, the latest attempts of Chantelle Petit and Ephy Saint to cooperate in dropping off and picking up their daughter ended in a catastrophic altercation.

To cope, Chantelle Petit opted to “live life like Ephy Saint does not exist to avoid stress.”

Notably, Chantelle Petit recently underwent a break up with “an amazing man” who helped her “heal from the trauma of the past relationship” with her daughter’s dad Ephy Saint. She clarified, “On Sunday, I wrote on my Instagram stories about my recent partner. The former relationship I mentioned, I was not talking about Ephy Saint.”

Ephy Saint brought up concerns about their daughter’s custody in case Chantelle Petit got married. Chantelle recounted, “Ephy Saint talked about how if i got married he would have to give her up to the new father. And I pointed out that former partner who expressed he would fully take over being summers parent and legal guardian.”

At the beginning of 2024, an overwhelmed Chantelle Petit expressed, “Life feels like it has been crashing down every day. My funds depleted, facing job rejections, and going through a breakup became too much. That’s when I shared on X about considering ending everything because everything I was trying seemed to be failing.”
