Director Trevor’s recent decision to terminate collaboration with YouTube star Eve Mungai and rebrand their popular ‘Mungai Eve Media’ channels as ‘Kenya Online Media,’ post break up, has stirred up controversy. Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai advised Mungai Eve to sue Director Trevor to regain control of their jointly managed social media pages, citing her significant contributions.
Robert Alai, on X, expressed his support for Eve, stating, “Eve Mungai should sue Trevor and recover all her pages. She built the pages using her image and went to great lengths to sacrifice everything for the pages to grow. She should not let the channels go that easily.”
Director Trevor and Mungai Eve, who were in a relationship for over five years, worked together to successfully grow ‘Mungai Eve Media.’ This includes a YouTube channel (754,000 subscribers), a Facebook channel (875,000 subscribers), and Insta-Fame (104,000 subscribers).
Director Trevor Promises Mungai Eve
The controversy deepens as a past video resurfaces, contradicting Director Trevor’s recent actions. In an interview with Presenter Ali, Director Trevor stated that despite creating the channel, it belongs to Mungai Eve, and he would want her to keep it in case of a breakup.
“I am the one who created the channel, but it belongs to Mungai Eve. Maybe if we had issues and anything happened to us, such a break up and we part ways, I would like for her to go with the channel. Because the brand is under her name.”
Director Trevor promised.
He mentioned being in the dark about most channel details, except the password, saying, “The only thing I know regarding the channel is the password. Am even unaware of the income the channel generates.”
Perhaps in a bid to impress Mungai Eve, Director Trevor affirmed that he had no qualms starting a brand new channel, as it, too, would be successful.
The inconsistency between Trevor’s past statement and his present actions raises questions among fans and followers. As the saga unfolds, the public remains eager to know the real story behind Trevor and Mungai Eve breakup and the sudden channel rebranding.
