The Public Service Commission has denied appointing former TV personality Jacque Maribe as the head of communication in the Ministry of Public Service.
The PSC’s announcement comes barely three days after Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria announced Jacque Maribe’s government appointment on social media. And a month after Jacque Maribe was exonerated in the Monica Kimani murder case.
In a Press release statement dated March 14, the PSC wrote on X, “The Public Service Commission has not appointed former Royal Media journalist Jacque Maribe as the head of communication in the ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management, contrary to social media posts attributed to Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria”
PSC Denies Appointing Jacque Maribe
Earlier CS Moses Kuria claimed that the PSC appointed Marie as the Communication lead. He stated, “It is true except that I am not the one who appointed her but the Public Service Commission,”
However, PSC Chairperson Amb. Antony Muchiri has clarified that “no such appointment has been made, neither has a request to employ her been filled by the board.”
Muchiri was also quoted as saying “For the record, the said position will be filled through a competitive recruitment process should a vacancy arise,”
