Nairobi police have arrested a gang suspected of robbing motorists along Museum Hill Road.
According to Nairobi Regional Commander Adamson Bungei, “We have apprehended several suspects linked to the gang that has been terrorizing motorists in the area.”
The operation was prompted by a viral video showing three individuals mugging a motorist near Museum Hill who was stuck in traffic due to the heavy rainfall. The dashcam footage showed the well-organized thugs attacking the car from both sides.
Eyewitnesses described the gang as targeting vehicles with open windows.
The gang targets side mirrors and phones.
One motorist commented, “I witnessed the same less than a week ago. They target Lexus side mirrors. Please DCI, visit the area in the evening hours and arrest the suspects.”

Bungei emphasized the importance of public cooperation, stating, “We acted swiftly following public outcry on social media, and we appreciate the support from members of the public.”
