Diana Bahati’s lawyer, Caroline Giseve, has explained the reason for Willy Paul’s arrest. She stated that Willy Paul was detained for making harmful statements about Diana Bahati in 2021. Willy Paul, also known as ‘Pozee,’ got arrested on March 4 at his Syokimau home.
“Diana Bahati filed a cyberbullying report in 2021, stating that both herself and her children were targets. The report implicated Willy Paul, leading to his arrest this morning.”

Diana Bahati and Willy Paul go way back. In 2021, Diana B posted a YouTube video alleging that Willy Paul raped. Willy Paul denied the allegations and insisted that he and the mother of four had ‘a thing’ going on. He said, “I came to pick you at your place in Syokimau. We met on Instagram, you gave me your number on the platform, and we met on the same day.”
Pozee asked Diana B to “just tell people and your husband the truth about what went down.” Willy Paul even took Diana B to court over the accusations, and the Judge ordered Diana B to pull down the video.

Why does the case drag on three years later?
The lawyer for Diana B explained that “Investigations are complete, and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions authorized Willy Paul’s arrest.”
Giseve added that, “Despite numerous summonses, Willy Paul failed to appear, leading to his arrest this morning.”

Before the arrest, Willy Paul sensed danger and warned his fans to hold the police responsible should any harm befall him. He wrote on X, “If something happens to me, you know that the police are to blame.”
The musician claimed that he was arrested over a hit and run accusation. Apparently, this is not Willy Paul’s first arrest, with a similar situation happening in 2023.
“I have been told that there are police officers outside my house at Syotani Villas waiting for me, saying I knocked someone and ran away. They want to kill me!!! The same thing happened last year. And they are outside my house right now!”

Willy Paul is expected to be arraigned in court on Tuesday, February 5.
