Jamaica’s legendary artist Jephter Mccymont popularly known as Luciano is set to jet in the country for a concert slated for 11th of June with a message of peace to youth ahead of the elections.
George Gichobi, CEO, Musical Safaris Group says that this is the right time to preach peace amongst the youth.
“Luciano has received recognition for his role in spreading peace and that’s what we need right now,” said Gichobi.
Speaking after jetting into the country, Gichobi promised a once in a lifetime experience.
“Luciano is a legend, a priest and messenger of the good word. This event will be about sensitizing the youth to shun violence especially now that they are vulnerable ahead of the fourth coming elections.”
“We have invested heavily on quality and most importantly security. There will be no room for insecurity,” he assured.
This came after concerned netizens questioned the legitimacy of the Ngong Race course venue which has been previously linked with matters of insecurity
“He’s more than eager to interact with the youth and spread the message of love and spreading positive vibes.”
Besides a scheduled safari drive for which the reggae star expresses undying love for, the It’s me again jah hitmaker will have a series of meetings with various youth organisations and speak positively of sharing love and shun violence during the forthcoming elections.
The reggae icon is set to perform at a Unite the Youth themed concert and says he cannot wait to get back to the country which he considers as his second home.
The event will take place next weekend at the Waterfront, Ngong Racecourse.
DJ Bling and Bonko are set to perform among other DJs.
