A dramatic incident unfolded at Uhuru Gardens after a man attempted to interrupt President Uhuru Kenyatta’s speech as the country celebrates the 59th Madaraka.
The man is reported to have acted so in a show of protest against President Kenyatta’s leadership whom he accused of “lying” to Kenyans.
President Kenyatta however chose to ignore him and carry on with speech to thousands of Kenyans who attended the fate.
The man ranted “You have stolen our future… you have stolen our country, our future… we cannot continue being treated as slaves in our own country…we must stand up now and fight for the truth as we know it.”

Police acted swiftly to contain the situation by whisking the man who was fast approaching presidential dais.
The man identified as Julius Kamau has since gained notoriety for interrupting speeches of top brass government officials.
Two weeks ago he was whisked in similar manners when he interrupted IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati when he was addressing presidential aspirants at the Bomas of Kenya.
